Cancellation Policy

The Chimes Bed and Breakfast is an exclusive family-owned property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. Our policies have been altered to accommodate the post-Covid environment. 

The full amount of your stay is due and will be charged to your credit card, on the cancellation date, fifteen (15) days prior to arrival. A sixty (60) day cancellation notice is required for special events that include Mardi Gras, Jazz Festival, Super Bowl, Final Four, Essence Festival, Voodoo Festival, Sugar Bowl, university events and some conventions. Special events and all room rentals (one group) require a one night (1), non-refundable, deposit with a balance due sixty (60) days prior to arrival at the Chimes B&B.

Rooms reserved with less than a fifteen/sixty (15 or 60) day window will be charged in full 24 hours after the reservation is made. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, check (in advance) and debit cards.

In the event that you must cancel or shorten your stay with less than fifteen/sixty (15 or 60) day notice and the specific dates are re-booked at the same rate, a full or partial refund will be made, less a $30. fee. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected events.

Arrival Time

Please call or email with your arrival time, in advance. Detailed instructions for self-check-in will be emailed before your arrival. If you need in-person assistance text or call the Chimes. Check-out: 11:30 AM 

Luggage can be stored for a later departure. A later check out can be requested-no fee.

General Policy

Currently, daily housekeeping is not offered. Coordination of towel/sheet exchange, trash removal and restocking supplies  (when needed or requested) will be arranged. No room entry by others will occur during your stay without your permission. All rooms will be clean and disinfected before arrival.

Breakfast Trays can be purchased for room, courtyard or common dining room, delivery ordered by date when making a reservation or texting one day before dining. Special diets are accommodated. 

Children over the age of six are welcome to stay in Rooms #1, 2, or 4 for a nominal fee. We are sorry that our rooms are not suitable for toddlers.

All rooms are non-smoking spaces. A designated outdoor smoking area is available.

Sorry, no pets. Please call for advice for making arrangements to board your pet locally.

The Chimes has three rooms with no stairs entering the room (#1#2 & #3).

The Chimes has a minimum night stays on weekends and sometimes more during special events.

Corporate Rate

The Chimes offers a special corporate rate on weeknights for return business travelers. Contact the Chimes for information.
