Cancellation Policy
The Chimes Bed and Breakfast is an exclusive family-owned property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us.
The full amount of your stay is due and will be charged to your credit card on the cancellation date, fifteen (15) days prior to arrival. Rooms reserved with less than fifteen-days will be charged 24 hours after the reservation is made. There are some minimum night requirements as noted on the booking calendar. A one-night non-refundable deposit will be processed when a reservation is made for a special event. A sixty (60) day cancellation notice is required on special events which include Mardi Gras, Jazz Festival, Bowl Games, Final Four, Christmas & New Year holidays, Essence Festival, French Quarter Festival and some university events. We are sorry that refunds cannot be made last minute for special events. Travel insurance is suggested. Special event payment can be charged in two increments on request.
In the event that you must cancel or shorten your stay with less than a fifteen or sixty (15 or 60) day notice and the specific dates are re-booked at the same rate, a refund will be made, less a $30 processing fee. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected events.
Reservations are not transferable.
Arrival Time
Please call or email with your arrival time, in advance. Detailed instructions for self-check-in will be emailed seven days before your arrival. Luggage can be stored for a later departure.
General Policy
Housekeeping is offered three days per week. Trash cans are located in the courtyard for your use.
Breakfast may be purchased for dining in the courtyard or dining room between 7:30-9:30 am. You may order with your reservation or anytime before 7:00 pm the night prior to breakfast. An email with the menu will be sent seven days before your stay. Special diets can be accommodated with advanced notice. Breakfast is $15. per person.
Children over the age of six are welcome to stay in Rooms #2 or #4 for a nominal fee. We are sorry that our rooms are not suitable for toddlers. Please call to arrange.
All rooms are non-smoking spaces. A designated outdoor smoking area is available.
Sorry, no pets. Please call for advice for making arrangements to board your pet locally.
The Chimes has three rooms with no stairs inside or entering the room (#1(first floor), #2 & #3).
The Chimes has a minimum night stays as noted in the booking calendar.
Corporate Rate
The Chimes offers a special corporate rate on weeknights for return business travelers. Contact the Chimes for information.
