Transportation and Directions

We suggest using one of the following methods for getting to the Chimes from the airport. 

Transportation from Airport

Uber and Lyft are both reliable travel methods and the rate is approximately equal to a taxi if usage is not surging. 

The set taxi fare, from the airport citywide is $36. plus a tip, for two people. ($15. additional person). 

 

Directions to The Chimes

If you are driving from the East side of the city

Take I-10 WEST toward New Orleans. Merge onto US- 90 W ( via exit 234-C ) on the left side of Interstate towards Claiborne. EXIT - Carondelet/St. Charles Ave. Turn RIGHT onto St. Charles Ave. for approximately 1.5 miles. After passing Louisiana Ave. its 7 blocks to Constantinople Street. Turn LEFT onto Constantinople, 4 blocks to 1146.

If you are driving from the airport or from the West side of the city:

Take I-10 EAST into New Orleans. Merge toward Business District (not Slidell). Travel until you see the sign for US-90 Westbank (on left) Stay on US-90 and exit Carondelet/St. Charles Ave. Turn right on St. Charles Ave. for approximately 1.5 miles. After passing Louisiana Ave. travel 7 blocks to Constantinople. Turn LEFT onto Constantinople, travel 3 blocks to 1146.

The main perimeter streets are: Louisiana Ave. & Napoleon Ave./ St. Charles Ave & Magazine Street. Constantinople Street intersects St. Charles Avenue, between the 3900 and 4000 block.
